Electrolytic Manganese Metal Flakes are a type of high-purity manganese product produced through an electrolytic process. The Mn content is between 99.7% and 99.9%. It is an irregularly shaped sheet with a thickness of 1-2mm. It’s hard and brittle. One side is bright, one side is rough. It is silvery white to brown.
Its function is to increase the hardness of the combined metal material. The most widely used are manganese copper alloy, manganese aluminum alloy. Manganese in these alloys can improve the strength, toughness, wear resistance and corrosion resistance of the alloy.
Electrolytic manganese metal powder can be obtained by grinding and sieving electrolytic manganese metal flakes. The color of the powder is silver-gray. Size: -325 mesh 15%max~+ 40 mesh 1%max.

Electrolytic Manganese Metal Flakes Manufacturing Process
The whole production process mainly includes raw material preparation, electrolytic manganese production, crystal separation and product purification. The sequence of these steps is carried out in strict accordance with the process requirements to ensure the quality and purity of the final product.
Step 01: Raw material preparation.
The main raw material of electrolytic manganese metal is electrolytic manganese ore. First of all, the electrolytic manganese ore needs to be beneficiated and crushed to obtain the ore suitable for electrolytic manganese production.
Step 02: Electrolytic manganese production.
At this stage, the electrolytic manganese ore that has been crushed is first mixed with an auxiliary agent such as sodium carbonate. The mixture is then placed in an electrolytic cell. Electrolysis is carried out by connecting the copper sheet to the power supply. During electrolysis, due to the formation of cations, manganese and sodium ions combine to form sodium manganate, sodium manganate ionization to the anode, forming chlorine gas and manganese acid. Sodium manganate precipitates at the bottom of the electrolytic cell, and is collected and treated by filtration and washing to obtain the concentrated solution of sodium manganate.
Step 03: Crystal separation phase.
The concentrate is further heated and dehydrated to crystallize into sodium manganate crystals. The pure sodium manganate crystal was obtained by centrifugation.
Step 04: Product purification.
Product purification. The sodium manganate crystals are dried and then heated in the furnace. This allows sodium manganate to be broken down into manganese manganate and sodium oxide. Manganese manganate is reduced and treated with water vapor to obtain metallic manganese. Manganese metal is further melted and sublimed to remove impurities and improve purity. Finally, pure manganese metal is obtained.
